Love this method, haven’t used it in a while so thanks for the encouragement and reminder.

This is great! I have used this method to create complex passwords for the many many accounts we must maintain in a digital world, and also helps me learn a verse!

This is a great tip! Thanks for this article. I will try this. I have memorized many whole chapters of scripture by listening to The Corner Room. They put Psalms, Isaiah, Corinthians, and individual verses to music, verbatim. If you listen repeatedly, the music and words get stuck in your mind. It’s been such a gift to retain verses this way. I’ll even wake in the middle of the night with these repeating over and over.

Wonderful! This reminds me of https://dwelldifferently.com/ and their tattoos they make to help remember scripture. They use the same concept.

I have been using this method for years, in addition to repeated oral recitation of each verse, but the problem I have encountered is with long-term retention. If I don't regularly review and recite my memorized verses, I lose them, but the more verses I have memorized (I usually memorized 1 verse per week), the longer review takes. Any suggestions on this?

Not a terrible problem to have, right? Haha Too many verses memorized. Not sure if I have a method for you besides time and energy. I need to do some research myself!
